Since 1980, the Boeing 737 has been a backbone for the medium-long haul expansion of Copa Airlines.
Copa Airlines has bought back the stakes it sold to Continental in 1998, but retained the carrier's look. As such, this explains why its current paint scheme still bears similarities to that of the old United/Continental Airlines livery. Not inspiring compared the to the colorful Copa livery from the 80's.
