The Ukraine is Mad dog country.
Mad dog is a slang term used to describe someone as "wild and crazy."
Bravo Airways McDonnell Douglas MD-83 UR-COC is leased from Air Fleets International.
These Mad dogs were still 'barking' in the Ukraine during my visit in 2019.
Bravo Airways was an Ukrainian airline based at Kiev, Zhuliany airport. During my visit in the first week of June 2019, the airline announced the end of all charter operations.
The MD-83 which is parked in the middle is Bravo Airways UR-CPR. Nine days after I photographed her, she veered off the runway on landing at Zhuliany, causing the gear to collapse and significant damaged the aircraft. Zhuliany, June 05, 2108.
Anda Air MD-83 UR-CPB, in better days. Three month's after I took this pic, she was withdrawn from use and stored at Zhuliany.
UR-CPB was built for Reno Air in August 1993 and during our visit the old girl looked still as eager as ever. Unfortunately she was with-drawn from service on September 01, 2018.
Boeing 737-524 UR-CPJ was bought by aircraft broker Khors Aircompany for re-sale. Her present owner is Varesh Airlines from Iran.
Previous owners were; Transaero and Continental Airlines.
Previous owners were; Transaero and Continental Airlines.
Those aircraft has been out of service for so long that it will need to have a C-check, or annual maintenance review, before being cleared for flying once again. Both Airbuses had good hopes of resurrection and they did.
UR-COF Airbus A320-200 was registrated to Air Alanna on the same day when I made this image, June 01, 2018.
UR-CQM Airbus A320 of Air Alanna is seen here at Zhuliany and being prepared for a new life with this Ukrainian operator.
VP-BYO, a former Transaero aircraft, was one of two Transaero Boeing 737-500's stored at Zhuliany in June 2018.
'03', '02', '01' are the Ukraine Air Force Antonov An.74's. '07' and '05' are Ukraine Air Force Antonov An-26's and all are based at Zhuliany.
A snug fit in the parking lot at Zhuliany airport in June 2018. The Antonov An-24's hopes of resurrection seems douthful to me.
Those Ural fuel-trucks are real brutes.
AeroSvit Airlines private stock company, operating as AeroSvit — Ukrainian Airlines / АероСвіт, was a Ukrainian private airline. Its head office was on the grounds of the Boryspil International Airport in Boryspil. The airline was established in March 1994 and started operations in April the same year with international flights from Kiev in co-operation with Air Ukraine. At December 2012, Aerosvit was the largest carrier in Ukraine. Bankruptcy procedures began in January 2013 and in February 2013, AeroSvit ceased operations.

Geriatric jet hulks are an increasingly familiar sight around the former 'iron curtain countries.
Odesa airport is situated near the shore of the Black Sea.
Odesa airport is an heaven for OldJets hounds.
Many of the major Russian and Ukrainian airfields are littered with carcasses of older Yaks and Antonovs which are often stripped of pieces to keep others flying.

I'm afraid, this Antonov An-24 will remain stranded at Odesa.
