'Herc' to Helsinki

On Saturday, October 31, 1998, I made a FAM-trip o/b NWT Lockheed Hercules C-GHPW, from Amsterdam to Helsinki, Finland.

Northwest Territorial Airways Ltd (NWT Air) was formed in 1962. Main activity is the transport of cargo and supplies in support of mining, oil and gas industry operations. Authorised area of operations covers one-third of Canada in the area north from 60-degree latitude to the North Pole. Scheduled services are also operated from Yellowknife to Port Radium, Coppermine, Lady Franklin Point and Cambridge Bay.

Flight KL9057 from Amsterdam (AMS) performed a nice approach for RWY 22.
Sadly, a murky day for this interesting visitor.

During our return flight, we got rewarded with some sunshine.
The return flight proved to be uneventful .
A couple of years ago C-GHPW has been sold to Safair of Jo'burg and she is nowadays working hard in the Africa skies.
